The Peace Project

Art can reflect the abyss, but some artists choose to point towards hope. In times of chaos and war, we have as much of an obligation to present solutions as we have an obligation to bring light to injustice. In the words of Pope Leo XIV, “Stability and peace are not built by reciprocal threats or with weapons that sow destruction, pain, and death, but only through reasonable, authentic, and responsible dialogue.” And, “No technological innovation can replace creativity, critical discernment, and freedom of thought.” Inspired by these notions, G3N3RATION is conducting a curatorial experiment featuring a variety of works that symbolize peace and inspire hope. In this experiment, the artist is the curator.

The submissions coming in feature a variety of subjects but mutually remind us that, despite troubling events and conflicts, there is always someone playing, praying, or creating dialogue for peace somewhere.
